About the Author:Tadashi Nakamura was born in Japan in 1942, on the island of Karafuto. A world-renowned karateka, Nakamura is a ninth dan (degree) black belt with 60 years of martial arts experience. An expert in the use of oriental weapons, he is the founder and chairman of the World Seido Karate Organization, headquartered in New York City. He is also the founder of the nonprofit community-service Seido Juku Benefit Foundation, which has provided funding for cancer patients, victims of domestic violence, and children with HIV and AIDS.
