If you’ve gotten this far then you’re only minutes away from using the program proficiently. To return to the Main Menu at any time, click on the “Menu” button in the upper left-hand corner.

The Lessons section consists of 40 videos and their scripts.

• You can choose to view each script using Pinyin, English, Traditional Characters, or Simplified Characters.
• You can also choose to have no script displayed. Under the video window, use the set of five buttons on the left—“Pinyin,” “English,” “Traditional,” “Simplified,” and “None”—to select the format.
• You can select which speakers are audible. Under the video window, use the set of four buttons on the right—“All Speakers,” “Chinese,” “American,” and “None”—to choose. This feature allows you to practice one of the roles in the Basic Conversation and interact with the other person(s) as the video plays.
• Return or advance to any point in the video by using the slider immediately beneath the video window.
